Banks have made it extremely easy to make a credit card application. They want you to own a credit card. Indeed, banks and other institutions have intentionally made the credit card application process as simple, accessible and inviting as possible. This is to encourage as many people as possible to hold their own credit card. However, the result of such easy access has created, or at least it has further encouraged, major increases in consumerism and increasing consumer debt to the banks. In fact, while banks are offering credit cards through their internet sites, they are also accompanying their product with high interest rates. Consequently those lacking financial management experience are finding themselves stuck deep in debt.
